“Good Morning Sunshine!”

Our sweet Dazie loves nothing more than morning-time.  My husband climbs out of bed and heads for his bathroom.  Dazie scurries from the foot of our bed where she sleeps, to me and covers my face with kisses.  Then she plops down, her head on my husband’s pillow.  I quickly pull the blankets over her because she gets cold with  

  

only her short Pit Bull hair to keep her warm.  She just loves to take his place next to me!   I hug her and tell her, “YOU’RE the ba-by!”  She just loves to hear me say this.  I receive more wet kisses.  (Yes, she even has her own special blankie.) 

I’m convinced that this dog is an angel.  She watches over me, and I watch over her.  She also loves it when I plant lots of kisses on her cheek.  She leans right-into my lips and closes her eyes calmly.  I’ve owned many canine breeds.  Never one as loving and affectionate as Dazie The Pit Bull.  In fact, I think that if I had to name one personality trait of the Pittie, it would be how much they absolutely love humans!

She is getting some white hair on her chin these days.  She is eight years old.  I honestly cannot bear to think about her no longer being with us.  So I don’t.  I only know for sure that I firmly believe that every one of our beloved fur-babies are waiting to greet us one day in heaven where we’ll never part again. 

As I write this, Dazie has come over beside me and gently licked my hand.  Thank you God, for this beautiful baby.
